Characteristics

Location

It can be reached both from l'Estartit and from l'Escala, bearing in mind that during the summer months vehicle access is prohibited. Even so, the most suitable access is probably via Sobrestany and la Torre Ferrana; from there we will follow the road of the Muntanya Gran (despite the name it is a track). Past the Roc Ferran viewpoint a long straight begins; we will find a track on the right (ETRS89 coordinates 513896 – 4658458) which we will follow for 580 metres, where we will find panel no. 9 of the Ruta del Vent, corresponding to the Cisternons. We will continue on along the track another 140 metres and we will find panel no. 8 of the Ruta del Vent, which marks the doline; we will find it a few metres to the right of the track.

Description

Morphology

Doline 10x7 metres in diameter, where at the point of maximum depth we find a small pit between blocks 1.5 metres deep where it becomes blocked in a small space; the total drop is 3.5 metres.

History

Known by the local people and quite visited since it is at point number 8-Les Dolines- of the Ruta del Vent. The SIE del CEA explored it in 2007 during the speleological campaign that it carried out in the massif.
