Small cave with a 15 m passage in the cingle de les Ànimes, in Sant Llorenç del Munt. It is the southernmost cavity of the cingle and its entrance hangs, so you have to descend by rope to reach it.

Location

Description

Morphology

Made up of a single gallery almost 15 metres long and of notable dimensions. The first section is formed by an ascending ramp that allows you to reach the final section, completely filled with sediments.

Progression

The entrance is hanging on the cingle and you have to descend by rope to reach it. The first section is an ascending ramp that allows you to reach the final section.

Other details

Between this cavity and the entrance of la Cova (the Cova de les Ànimes II), also hanging on the cingle, is the so-called Cova Inexplorada, about which we have no data and do not know whether anyone has accessed it.

History

It is not until the early 1970s that members of the Espeleo Club Sabadell carry out an exhaustive campaign at la Cova (the Cova de les Ànimes), carrying out a very complete study of the whole and discovering, among others, the Cova Sud.
