Characteristics

Location

On the C-26 road towards les Llosses, at km 183.66 at the height of El Cremat, we will continue to the left along the paved track heading to Sant Sadurní de Sovelles; after travelling 1 kilometre and shortly before reaching the farmhouse of les Pinoses, we will park and walk back about 30 metres along the track to take the path that descends to the Rec de Sovelles, cross it and follow the path for about 150 metres; from here it is necessary to climb the slope for about 150 metres until reaching the area of les Tofaroques, where several cavities open.

Description

Morphology

It is a cavity structured inside large blocks; it has three access entrances, and inside there is a hall of 8.5X5.8 metres. The height difference is 2.5 metres.

Progression

From the hall, a step of 1.8 metres places us in a lower gallery that has an exit to the outside through one of the entrances.

Other details

Inside we find a dry-stone wall that we suppose was used by people in hiding in times of war as a hiding place.

History

Located by Nil Hosta Ferrer at the beginning of 2025 based on the indications he had been given at the nearby farmhouse of les Pinases, where it had always been known.
