Location

Along the road (BV-1489) from El Figaró to Montmany, before reaching the end and below the house of l'Ullà, there is the torrent de la Rovira, which must be followed down and a short gorge section passed over a couple of drops to the foot of a curious formation of tosca stone (La Capa). On the left side of the torrent de la Rovira, just at the level of the streambed, about 15 m after the base of the second drop of the gorge of the Casa Falsa and just above the step between blocks with which it ends, shortly before the confluence with the torrent de Cal Pèl-roig.

Description

Morphology

Small cavity 6 metres long, with an almost triangular plan and the floor covered by the torrent's pebbles.

Speleothems

Noteworthy are the beautiful concretions and the pendants that form on the tosca stone.

History

The cave does not appear in any catalogue. The name “Inferior” refers to the fact that it is at a lower elevation than the place where the cave of the Casa Falsa is supposed to be.

Located and catalogued at the end of August 2020 by members of the Espeleo Club Muntanyenc Barcelonès and of the Grup d'Espeleologia de Badalona.
