Description
Morphology
The cavity is structured in a narrow joint of direction E40S that cuts a series of horizontal strata, sinking vertically 9 metres. Then, via an inclined ramp of 50º and 6.50 metres of travel, it leads to the point of maximum depth (- 14.40 m), from where it ascends gently a couple of metres until it becomes impassable.
Hydrology
At the deepest point there is a very narrow shaft, impossible to pass, through which rainwater trickles.
Progression
After the vertical sinking of 9 metres, an inclined ramp of 50º and 6.50 metres of travel leads to the point of maximum depth (- 14.40 m), from where it ascends gently a couple of metres until it becomes impassable.
Other details
The presence of some fissure in the paret de la Bauma would not be at all surprising.
History
Discovered in early January 1975 by members of SIRE – UEC who had to carry out a dig to widen the entrance. During the same month of January, colleagues from the same SIRE made two more trips to carry out the complete exploration and the survey. They named it after its discoverer, Antoni Expósito.
There is no further news until 14 January 2016, when members of the espeleodijous group located it and, despite an attempt to widen the passage, it is so selective that they could not pass the initial narrow section and limited themselves to leaving a trap hanging to collect fauna.
