Small cave with 8 metres of passage in the cingles de Roca Pastora (Albanyà), with an entrance of ample dimensions and a height difference of +3 metres.

Characteristics

Location

The entrance is clearly visible from the road that leads to the sanctuary of the Mare de Déu del Mont, at the height of the font de Roca Pastora. Access is made by descending from Sant Llorenç de Sous. Approximate coordinates.

Description

Morphology

Small cave with 8 metres of passage. The entrance is of ample dimensions and has a height difference of +3 metres. Opened by fracturing of the materials. Aeolian erosion has rounded the forms.

Hydrology

Small water seepages are observed.

History

Very probably this is the cavity cited by Pere Vayreda in 1931, Cova dels Encantats; cingle de Roca Pastora. The GEB explored and surveyed it on 2 February 1997.
