Characteristics

Location

Located at the end of carrer de Josep M. Tosas in Montblanc, we continue along the camí de la pasquala. At the end of this we find a water tank that we skirt on the left; a little further on, after passing some tanks located on the left of the path, it makes a bend and heads towards the S. We continue uphill until we reach a crossroads, where we leave the track that goes off to the left, and continue straight on entering an open area of the forest where we find a square-shaped water tank. From the West side of the esplanade, we follow the track on the right that is closed by a padlock; after about 800 metres, at the point where the track makes a bend to the right, on the left-hand side of the track we find a dry stone wall. A few metres before the wall and on the same side of the track, we find a path that descends in the direction of the font de la Ginesta. Straight away we find a crack that crosses the path and that must be jumped; a few metres further on we pass by the side of the avenc de la Figuera, the path descends a little and turns to the left, and at this point we will find the cave on the left of the path.

Description

Morphology

A 2x2 metre entrance gives way to a gallery 7 metres long. At the end and on the right we find a small passage of little more than a metre and a half where it ends. Above us rises a 3.15 metre pit that comes out to the exterior, almost beside the avenc de la Figuera.

History

Explored by the young members (13-14 years old) of the GIEM de Montblanc during the year 1966.

The name of the cavity in reality should be that of the “Soroll”, but in those years, the pronunciation was typical of the knowledge of spoken Catalan that existed during Francoism, which was reduced to street speech, which in this case was lisping.
