Location

At km 7 of the road from Terrassa to Mura is the els Rourets residential development. From its SW end a path descends toward the torrent de la Font de la Riba, and shortly after following it there is a fork that skirts the eastern slope of the hill at elevation 776 of the Bosc de les Parets, beneath which the cave lies, clearly visible from afar. The entrance is raised about 3 metres, easily climbable.

Description

Morphology

Formed by a single gallery about 6 metres long that, shortly after entering, narrows and its ceiling lowers until it becomes impassable. To the right of the entrance area there is a small passage, one metre above the floor, which becomes impassable immediately.

History

Explored and surveyed by members of the SIE – CEA (Barcelona) in October 2003, naming it Cova del Turó de les Parets. Known, we do not know whether before or after, by the people of the SIS – CET as Cova del Bosc de les Parets, we have decided to catalogue it under this latter name so as not to create confusion.
