Cova del Bosc

Cova del Bosc

Gran balma a la zona d'Alfara de Carles

Alfara de Carles • Baix Ebre20m0

Large rock shelter in the Alfara de Carles area, known since ancient times and cited by E. Bayerri in 1934.

Characteristics

Location

About two kilometres before reaching Alfara de Carles, along the TV 3422 road, a track leaves to the left leading to the mas de la Canaleta. From there, on foot, one must go to the mas de l'Ereta and follow the path that climbs steeply towards the Cap de la Serra.

In the very middle of an almost treeless landscape, a maple (Acer campestre) can be made out leaning against the wall. Here is found the Cova del Bosc.

Very precarious location and coordinates that only indicate the area where the cavity must be found.
