Location

From the head of the barranc de la Pixera, at the height of the font de l'Abeurador, very close to where there is a metal hut, we will cross this ravine and head West following the so-called Moleta (the Colomer, on the ICGC) which remains on our right, when the cliff begins and it starts to turn right above the cova de les Gralles, we will find the cavity a little more than three hundred metres away from the font de l'Abeurador.

Description

Morphology

It is an old spring formed by a single gallery with a 17 metre passage.

Speleothems

Current marks can be observed and the lithogenic forms, located at some points, detach under their own weight, possibly due to the little thickness between the ceiling and the outside and favoured by the formation of infiltration cracks and the rapid erosion of the materials.

Progression

Although there is no air current, at the end a possible continuation is hinted at in a very narrow downward passage, but it would be necessary to clear it, as it is bedrock.

History

The data we have come from the exploration carried out by members of the GIEM – Club Excursionista de Montblanc on 6 December 1993.

It was later located and visited again in 2015 by Joan Pallisé and Ramon Sendra (†).
