Gandesa • Terra Alta 30m 11m

Small cave about 30 m long in the Serra de Cavalls, explored and surveyed by GERP in June 1987.

Characteristics

Location

Leaving Gandesa in the direction of El Pinell de Brai, after about 2.5 km a track begins on the left that runs through the valley of les Carruves. After following it for one kilometre, we find on the right the track that climbs to the ermita de Sant Marc and very soon, on the left, one must take the track that climbs towards la Carabassa and follows the crest of the SW end of the Serra de Cavalls. At one point this track makes a zigzag and changes slope towards the valley of les Carruves. The cave, quite visible, is found a little further on, about twenty metres below the crest.
