Characteristics

Location

Located at the first bend on the descent from coll d'Estenalles in the direction of Talamanca, at kilometre 15.1 of the road, a path leads off to the cimal dels Cortins. Once we cross the bed of the canal del Séc, we will leave the path, exiting on our left, and go down in order to find the most comfortable passage beneath the small cliff where we are. About thirty metres to the NW and following the foot of this cliff, we will find first the rock shelter and then the small mouth of the cave.

Description

Morphology

Curious cavity of short length that overlooks a stretch of the road that goes from coll d'Estenalles to Talamanca. From the road little can be seen, perhaps part of the opening of the small rock shelter that is right next to the cave. The entrance mouth to the interior of the cave is just one metre high and leads us into a gallery that narrows very soon. The cavity has about 10 metres of length.

Speleothems

On our right, two short impenetrable galleries covered with calcite coral.

Progression

The continuation is on our left, where, overcoming a low passage, we will reach a small room where we can stand up. On our left, a narrow and elongated window constitutes the bunker's viewpoint over the road.

History

The only references to this small cavity are those given by the members of the SIS del CE Terrassa who visited and surveyed it on 4-5-2004.
