Small cave with a 6 m passage on the west slope of Montcau, in Sant Llorenç del Munt, discovered by SIS – CE Terrassa on 5-4-2004.

Characteristics

Location

On the west slope of Montcau, in Sant Llorenç del Munt. It is reached by starting the walk on the path that leads from coll d'Estenalles to the cimal dels Cortins; once the bed of the canal del Séc has been crossed, the path must be left to the left, descending through the holm oak grove until a charcoal burner's hut and an adjacent rocky area are found. From this rocky area, one sets off in a northerly direction initially without losing altitude. Once inside the forest, altitude begins to be lost, first passing a gully at the head of which is the cova Penjada del Montcau. Then another rocky area is crossed, after which the cova Oest del Montcau is found.
