Description
Morphology
Small gallery between blocks and about 6 metres long, at the end of which opens a small pit 2 metres deep.
The neighbouring cavities: Avenc de les Quatre Boques and Esquerda de l'Olla de Ferro, form part of the same fissure, but separated by an accumulation of blocks.
History
Located in the mid-1970s by X. Bellés, J. Comas and O. Escolà on a biospeleological outing.
The first data on this group of fissures appear in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya. Vol. 2 (Borràs, Miñarro, Talavera – 1978) provided by X. Bellés. This one, however, is not cited and on the contrary mention is made of an Avenc de l'Home Mort, which we do not know whether it is this same small cavity or not. For the moment we have no data. It is also very likely that this cave is the same one popularly known as cova del Requesens, this name coming from the nearby farmhouse, currently demolished.
