Fígols i Alinyà • Alt Urgell 31m 15m

A 31-metre-long cave in Fígols i Alinyà, explored by the GELL in 1999.

Characteristics

Location

From Fígols i Alinyà we head out to the east towards Romanins, follow the track towards the farms of La Costa and Codonyes; 170 metres before reaching the latter, we find a bend to the left that climbs steeply; before a kilometre we see the first building on the right, which is La Serra, a large house with worked fields and the access track closed off by a chain. We leave the vehicle at the turning circle of the track and continue towards the house; once past it, the track levels out and we follow it to the end along the hydrographic right bank of the Codonyes ravine; this narrows into a gorge and presents a first waterfall; on the hydrographic left bank and at a height of about 20 metres we can observe the mouth that opens in a ledge.

GPS readings taken before 2 May 2000 may present some margins of error.
