Characteristics

Location

In the Serra de Pàndols (Gandesa). Going along the road that leads to Fontcalda, once past the coll d'en Canar you reach the point known as the Cap de la Costa. Here the camí del Molí begins on the left, descending in many zigzags. After about 2 km it crosses the head of a ravine that descends towards the riu Canaletes, making a very sharp bend. At this point, on the right, a level path branches off and must be followed for about 200 metres until, beside this path, a half-collapsed bank is found, and just after passing it, you must climb straight up through the woods. Within about twenty metres are the two entrances of the cavity, partially covered by vegetation. Approximate coordinates without precision. To be reviewed.

Description

Morphology

A cavity 18 m deep and 47 m long. Entering through the lower entrance we find a small ramp that, after a step, places us in a 10-metre gallery, in the ceiling of which the shaft that constitutes the upper entrance can be glimpsed. A low ceiling passage situated on the right allows us to reach a reticulate network of joints that constitutes the rest of the cavity. Formed at the expense of a set of joints oriented NNW-SSE and ENE-WSW. A notable clastic process has shaped its interior appearance.

History

The only data known are those given by the members of GERP (Sant Just Desvern) who explored and surveyed it in December 1986.
