Description
Morphology
A first shaft leads into a kind of chamber formed by three tall joined chimneys. From this point there are two continuations: the first through a flow on the floor that leads to the lowest point of the cavity; the other climbs up the wall of the last chimney and leads to an ascending chamber, from where one reaches a new chamber from which a crawlway emerges that is a few metres from the outside and that was very close to the Avencó de la Cova d'Ordal; this Avencó had already disappeared by 1988 as a consequence of the works being carried out on the estate.
Speleothems
In the three tall joined chimneys there is a large quantity of curtains and stalactites of large dimensions.
History
Known since time immemorial; in fact, at the end of the 19th century, the entrance was already modified and fixed up for tourist purposes. It is currently inside a private estate; the latest data known (year 2002) are that the owners would have fitted out part of the cave for their own private use. The current state of the cave is unknown due to the owners' lack of cooperation when it comes to providing information about it.
Bio
Troglocharinus Ferreri Reitt. 6 specimens by Zariquiey on 17/VI/1934.
