Description
Morphology
The entrance, of large dimensions (10 x 15 m), is located on the boundary between the vertical schist and limestone strata. A vertical shaft of 72 m, which has three snow plugs, leads us to a level of accumulation of stones and blocks and of the remains of snow from the surface.
We continue between the strata and advance E about 5 m, where we find a room without a roof with the same accumulation of stones on the floor. It is worth noting in the middle of the room the structure of a depression, which could be the sink in times of heavy thaw.
We continue in the direction of the strata until these no longer allow it when they come together again. The fact that throughout this stretch the roof cannot be seen and that the walls are relatively close together has allowed a climb of 6 m to be made, which leads nowhere.
It seems that the cavity has no continuation, since it is not possible to sense where it could continue and the tectonic structure would so indicate.
Speleothems
At the point where the strata come together again there is a small gour with cave pearls.

History
Located and explored on 22 and 23 August 1999 by members of the SE Poble Sec (Barcelona) during the campaign they carried out in the summer of that year. Finding themselves in the E sector into which the French groups had divided the Cuns d'Aulà area during their campaigns of the 1970's, they followed the numbering (there was only one impenetrable hole: E-1).
The colleagues of the SEPS explored three more small cavities, to the W and in the same stratum as the Cigalera de Pala Clavera: E-3; E-4 and E-5, none of which reaches 15 m in depth and for which there are no data, so we leave them for the moment uncatalogued.
