Characteristics

Location

From Hortsavinyà take the can Pica path in the direction of l'Esplai; at the height of can Portell continue along the track on our left, which descends in the direction of can Borra, can Buc and cal Breviari. Continuing along the track, after a few metres turn left, crossing an electrified wire fence, which leads us in the direction of the Roc del Corb. We will leave the aforementioned track a few metres after passing under a power line, to descend cross-country for a while, until we find some white marks made by hunters, which will lead us to the top of the large rock (Roca Andera). We will have to go around it to see the entrance, located at the base of the crag and difficult to find, as it is well hidden by the vegetation. The place is the Bagueny de Rupit; the cavity is found after the canal de Casalins joins the sot de can Terrades, forming the stream known as the Sot de Rupit.

Description

Morphology

To the right of the entrance there is a 0.6X0.4 metre crawlway through which a fig tree emerges; this crawlway communicates with the interior of the cave, but it is impassable. The entrance leads us to a gallery 5 metres long, 2 metres high by 1 metre wide. This gallery intercepts a corridor that to the right ends after 3 metres and communicates with the impassable crawlway where the fig tree is. If we continue to the left, after 4 metres, and through its upper part, a narrow crawlway takes us back outside.

History

Known in the area since time immemorial. The only known data are from the exploration carried out by the GE Badalona on 8-12-2001.
