A large rock shelter in Tavertet, known since ancient times and formerly used as a fold for livestock.

Characteristics

Location

We will leave the village of Tavertet along the dirt track that leads to the Monteis farmhouse. When we reach the door of the house we will leave the car to continue on foot along the continuation of the track we were on, which leads us to the pla de Monteis. After about 500 m we will find a small rocky promontory on our left; right here we find the balma Grossa de Monteis.
