Location

From kilometre 9.7 of the BV-5207 road we will take a track on the left, which in 800 metres will bring us to Collsaplomera, where we will leave the vehicle. From here we will take another track on the left which, in a southerly direction, runs parallel to the cliff along the Puig de les Balmes and which we will have to follow for some 450 metres. The path turns along the base of the puig de les Balmes to continue in a north-westerly direction. It is shortly after this change that we will find the balma dels Bugaders on our right. Due to a recent thinning of the forest, the rocks of the Bugaders are easily seen; below the rock situated on the right is the rock shelter.

Description

Morphology

Rock shelter 15 metres wide, 5 metres deep and an average height of around 1.5 metres (some 3 metres at the E end).

Other details

The floor is occupied almost entirely by the remains of the old walls; the type of construction corresponded to the 12th century, today difficult to recognise. On the W side, there is a small more modern construction.

History

Known since time immemorial.

It appears in the Inventari del Patrimoni Arqueològic de Catalunya under number 8063.
