Description

Morphology

An elongated rock shelter 35 metres wide with a maximum depth that barely reaches 5 metres. Height of 2.5 metres or less, depending on the spot. At the SE end it finishes in a small cave 7 metres long, with a very low ceiling.

The cavity has been excavated taking advantage of the contact between two strata of strongly reddish sandstone. The upper one, harder and more compact, forms the roof.

History

Known since long ago by the people of the area, who said that inside it a flock of 100 sheep could take shelter. However, lately it had fallen into oblivion and few people know its location.
