Description

Morphology

The entrance of regular dimensions (1X1 metres) gives way to a 1.5 metre drop where a block is wedged in its walls. At this point a small pit is added on the south side which also leads into the main chamber.

The chamber is located at 3.50 metres depth and has dimensions of 11X4X2 metres, with an average inclination of 50º. In the deepest part of this small chamber two new impenetrable entrances open.

At 6.70 metres depth a narrow gallery obstructed by lithogenic formation opens almost in the middle of the floor at 3 metres of passage.

Speleothems

The lithogenic forms are extensively represented mainly in the form of parietal anemolites.

History

This cave was discovered and explored on 26 March 1978 during an outing to the area of the Cova d'Anes and surroundings, by the GEPEG (Penya Excursionista Guimerà) of Barcelona.
