Small pit at Pla de Sot d'Óssos, Vallirana, a little over 5.5 metres deep.

Characteristics

Location

The cavity is located at Pla de Sot d'Óssos, in Vallirana. It is reached via the track that goes from Creu d'Ardenya up to Pla de Sot d'Óssos; on arriving at a widening where there is a fairly large pine tree, one must go into the limestone pavement in a N direction and without losing height, until finding the head of a faint torrent. The pit is in the same streambed, very covered by vegetation.

As a reference, the cavity is located 137 metres at E15N from the Pedro Picapiedra pit, and 121 metres at O28N from the avenc Josep Estrada.

Description

Morphology

Small and narrow pit that barely reaches 5.5 metres deep.

History

The first exploration was carried out in 1979 by A. Asensio and A. Anibarro (Centre Espeleològic Cervelló). After many years without relocating the cavity, in January 2019 members of the ERE of the CEC located it again.
