Leaving coll Fe by the path that goes to the fondo de Mas Grau, after a few metres you must turn left onto a path that climbs towards puig Verdaguer. From the puig, the path descends gently to a wide col and shortly after this col you must take the path on the right that will lead us, levelling out, to the ridge of the serra de la Guàrdia.

On reaching the track of the serra de la Guàrdia and directly opposite, a small trail starts down to the fondo de la Troneda. We follow this trail, which immediately turns left; some outcrops of breccioid conglomerate are found (quite rare in the massif) and once past them, a few metres to the left of the path, is the mouth of the pit, somewhat difficult to find due to its small dimensions.
