Description
Morphology
Single shaft, more or less cylindrical and about 4 metres in diameter, and 8 metres deep from its lower lip. At the ESE end a short gallery begins, blocked by lithogenesis and sediments.
Cavity that was the object of mineral exploitation (“sparry calcite”) that masks the original morphology.
History
The first exploration reference is from the SES – CE Puigmal (Barcelona) around the year 1957.
Our friend Lluís Muntan has marked 3 more “sparry calcite” quarries with signs of remains of cavities, located to the west and in line with pit no. 1 of the Gravat.
