Location

From the W of Albinyana an asphalted track sets out that in little more than a kilometre climbs up to the castle of l'Esquernosa and the chapel of Sant Antoni de Pàdua. From the recreation area of the chapel, a path sets out that heads towards the puig de Sant Antoni; from the corner of the chapel situated furthest to the West, we will follow this path for 117 metres, where we will find on the left a small trail in a S direction, which heads towards the cova d'Artús and the forat del Vent; following this small trail for 23 metres we will reach the mouth of the cavity.

Description

Morphology

A very narrow access gallery gives way, first in an inclined direction and then vertical, reaching the bottom of the diaclase; here there is a crawlway through which one passes into a small chamber, where a small impassable hole is the point of acoustic connection with the Cova d'Artús-Forat del Vent. The main fissure continues towards the S, ending filled by sediments.

History

It was discovered in 1967 by the SES of Club Esquí Puigmal. In 1970 they verify the “acoustic connection” of the cavity with the cova d'Artús-Forat del Vent.
