Characteristics

Location

From Mont-ral we will head W; once past the esplanade where one parks at the exit of the village, we find a crossroads. We will leave the path that climbs to La Foradada and the Pla de l'Avenc, and continue along the path heading NW. After 75 metres, a path emerges on the left which we will follow, marked here and there with cairns and red dots. We will find a first fork where we continue to the right; a little further on we find a small trail on the left marked with cairns and the red dots, one must continue to the right. After covering about 950 metres from the esplanade at the exit of the village, we will go into the forest on the left heading West for about 120 metres, where with the help of the coordinates we will find the cavity. As a reference it is located 22 metres to the SW of the avenc de l'Heura.

Description

Morphology

A narrow entrance gives access to an inclined conduit that after a few metres turns 180º. The gallery, in a slight descent, runs for about 10 metres; at this point we find that on the left side a narrow passage between blocks leads to a fissure that drops about 9 metres, and ahead the gallery continues through a narrow passage. Once past this, we find 3 metres above the access to a gallery about 7 metres long that turns in the opposite direction and ends. Continuing along the previous gallery, this rises and gains considerable height; on the left side we find another narrow access to the aforementioned fissure that drops. At the end of the gallery we find another that cuts it perpendicularly; on the right side we find the wall full of flowstone in the form of flags, while on the left the gallery rises and the ceiling height is at +4 metres with respect to the entrance. The depth is 19 metres (-15/+4) and 70 metres of passage.

Speleothems

On the right side, the wall is full of flowstone in the form of flags.
