Location

From the T-244 road from Pla de Manlleu to Bonany, at kilometre 16.2 on the left of the road, a track leaves and after about a hundred metres ends in a small esplanade. From the left side a path leaves that descends to the riera de Marmellar; we will follow it downstream for some 160 metres where we will cross the riera and exit on the hydrographic right along a waymarked path that heads towards the climbing walls of the Balcó de la Vall. The path leads us to a small crag where we find some ropes with knots to facilitate the climb; a few metres further on we will find the entrance of the pit.

Description

Morphology

An entrance of 1.78x0.90 metres gives access to a shaft 4.85 metres deep; at the base we find a steep ramp that leads us to the end of the fissure where the narrowness makes it impracticable.

History

Unpublished cavity known to the climbers who frequent this climbing area known as the Balcó de la Vall. Fellow climbers Dani Nin Esteban and Pol Nin Mur from El Vendrell got in contact with Espeleoíndex to inform us of the existence of this cavity. On 3-6-2023 they accompanied us in the location and exploration of the cavity.
