Description

Morphology

An entrance 4X1 metres gives access to a shaft 5 metres deep. On the N side there is a ramp that ends at 5 metres. On the other side, a ramp leads to the level -10. Here the joint turns towards the East, until with difficulty reaching the level -13, where the cavity continues, but at present the passage is impassable.

Progression

During the exploration by GEFOMA in 1971 they were able to reach the level -18 metres, and 6 metres more sounded.

History

Known since time immemorial, the first known mention is from the middle of the 19th century. The GELL explores it in 1960; in 1970 it is explored by GEFOMA and in 1971 they survey it. In 2015 the EC Gràcia carries out a new survey. This cavity has very often been confused with the Forat Bufador de Sant Jordi, although Jeannel and Racovitza in 1912 already make clear that it is a question of two different cavities, referring to the fact that the Forat Bufador has a very narrow entrance and that it is found very close to the ermita.
