Morphology
Small pit 12 m deep. Through an opening made by digging open, one enters a narrow vertical passage that descends to about 12 metres deep, until the passage becomes so narrow that it is impossible to progress.
Hydrology
A strong air current is detected, possibly due to the many fissures that exist in the area.

Other details
From the mouth of the pit, the water tower of Xerta can be seen in the distance, and the imagination of the companions from La Ràpita made them think of the tower of Mordor (The Lord of the Rings), hence the name of the pit.
History
Dug open and explored by members of the Club d'Espeleologia Dinàmic (Sant Carles de la Ràpita) on 16 October 2016.
