Location

It is located in Paüls (Baix Ebre). About 2 km after Xerta in the direction of Benifallet, take the N-230B /C-112 road on the left, in the direction of Prat de Comte. Shortly before the Venta del Fangar, at km 23, a track leaves to the left that leads to the Portella quarry. From here a path continues, going up, and it must be left shortly to climb towards the N, in the area of les Portelles, in an area occupied by a large chaos of blocks, among which the pit is found.

Description

Morphology

In an area between blocks and through two entrances, one enters a single shaft of about 10 metres of drop, ending in a rather unstable chaos of blocks.

One enters through two entrances into a single shaft of about 10 metres of drop, ending in a rather unstable chaos of blocks.

History

Discovered and explored at the end of a day of prospecting on 16 October 2016 by members of the Club d'Espeleologia Dinàmic (Sant Carles de la Ràpita). As everyone was tired at the end of the day, only one of the members of the group went down, the rest lazed about.
