Description
Morphology
Through a small mouth between blocks one enters a shaft of about 8 metres of drop, which increases in dimensions along the generating joint, as one descends. Its base is occupied by clastic products and at its westernmost end a narrow descending conduit places us at the point of maximum depth.
History
Cavity discovered and explored by members of the GIE of the Club Excursionista de Gràcia in 1960, leaving only a record in a list of activities published in the Club's bulletin.
It is not rediscovered until October 2000 by Lluís Julià (ERE-AEC), who can identify it thanks to the remains of paint that still survive from the first explorers, although with a spelling mistake (gixa for guixa). They explore it, survey it and publish the record, proposing the alternative name of avenc del Turó de Vinyals.
