Location

At the NW end of the Mola de Catí, in the Port, Baix Ebre. You must follow the main track of the Mola to the usual place where cars are parked when going to the avenc dels Mamelons. From this point, you must go about 40 metres to the right to find the entrance in a pile of blocks. The coordinates given by the discovering group place it slightly further N than where it is found.

Description

Morphology

Through a small entrance you enter a single pit of about 25 metres deep. At its bottom the floor continues along a joint of about 35 metres in length, remaining closed on both sides.

History

Discovered by two members of the Speleology and Canyons Section of the UEC Tortosa on Sunday 12 September 2010 while looking at a tiny hole among stones that hid a pit. The next day, Monday afternoon, they returned, finished the digging and were able to explore the new pit. In the absence of any other reference, they decided to name it after the festival of the day before the discovery, the eleventh of September.
