Description
Morphology
The mouth of the pit is hanging on a small cliff of about 15 metres, although erosion has excavated one face of the upper zone of the shaft, creating a balcony of access to the vertical of about 50 metres of good dimensions. At its base it remains blocked by clastic products.
Both the survey (GIE, 1968) and the sketch (EC Tortosa 2001), unpublished until now, place the 0 level at the upper lip.
History
Known forever by the people of Mas de Barberans. The first exploration was carried out by members of the GIE – CE Gràcia on 26 July 1968.
It is also known by the colleagues of the Espeleo Club Tortosa who explored it around the year 2001 and it is cited in a couple of blogs about canyoning.
