Characteristics

Location

It can be reached from the old Coll d'Ordal road via the track heading to the quarry, now converted into a landfill; after 300 metres we turn right and follow the main track for 1.67Qm where we will find a junction, we continue left for 170 metres until reaching the electricity pylon where we will park. The cavity is on the right of the track heading E, 73 metres in a straight line from the electricity pylon, but with no path, it is all covered in undergrowth. The cavity is right next to a young pine tree that has a metal danger sign hanging on it.

It can also be reached from Corbera de Llobregat following the BV-2425 road towards Gelida; just after kilometre 2 we turn left until reaching a roundabout, we continue left along Carrer Cabernet to the end where the track continues towards the Puig d'Agulles passing through the Coll del Portell; right at the start of the climb to the Puig d'Agulles, we turn right onto the track heading to the Coll d'Ordal, we follow it ignoring any turn-off for 730 metres, ending up at the junction which, continuing right, after 170 metres will bring us to the electricity pylon where we will leave the vehicle.

It should be borne in mind that for either of the two approaches it is advisable to have a high vehicle; a 4x4 is not necessary.

Description

Morphology

The circular entrance less than one metre in diameter gives access to a stepped shaft 18.5 metres deep.

Progression

The first 8 metres are descended comfortably; from this level we find a narrow passage that is easy to pass, where there is a small rock bridge.

History

In the winter of 2006, after a heavy snowfall, José Antonio el Yuyu and J.G.Montilla, members of EspeleoCorb and GES Terrassa, observed a small hole in the ground from which a large amount of vapour was coming out; after removing a few rather large blocks, a circular shaft appeared, and they returned the following week to finish the exploration.
