Description
Morphology
The initial hole was half covered by a mastic tree, and was almost half a metre deep. The access shaft is 6 metres, free-climbable. The chamber is 7x5 metres with a maximum height of 1.80 metres. There is a 1.80 metre drop that leads to a dead-end little chamber (level -8.5 m). To the right of the "pas per collons", just after leaving it, there is a small 3 metre pit, free-climbable, full of mud at its base, maximum level (level -9 m). Climbing back up this small pit on the opposite side of the "pas per collons", a 2 metre high gallery appears that becomes narrower and lower until reaching a narrow passage with a small column that we must skirt, and which leads to a small elongated chamber (level -7 m) and also dead-end.
Speleothems
Abundant straws on the ceiling.
Progression
In two days of digging, they managed to descend the 6 metres of the access shaft, free-climbable, and it was necessary to force a very narrow passage, which the companion Javi Bernabé named "pas per collons", since it was what he needed at that moment to access the Sala Oculta. Only he could get through it, and Joan from outside and Javi from inside dug until the passage was clear for everyone. Once in the chamber, 7x5 metres with a maximum height of 1.80 metres, we find on the left a long bedding plane that ends without continuation; continuing straight ahead, and always progressing carefully so as not to break the abundant straws on the ceiling, we find a 1.80 metre drop that leads to a dead-end little chamber (level -8.5 m).
History
Once the digging work of the nearby Avenc del Boix was completed, the members of the Grup d'Estudis Subterranis del Garraf (Sitges) dedicated two days of digging in a small hole that they had previously marked as PX21 and that once opened they named Avenc Dani Laguna, in honour of the one-year-old son of Dani Gascón, its discoverer. The work was carried out between the months of April and May 2014.
