Location

On the BV-5202 road from Sant Julià de Vilatorta to Vilalleons, on reaching kilometre 3.350 we will follow a track on the left, which in about 500 metres will bring us to the Gili farmhouse. Just past the farmhouse, the track makes a sharp bend to the right to head towards the old hay barn, currently restored as a dwelling. Right at the bend, a path sets off passing behind this building and heads NE; after covering about 140 metres, on the left of the path we find a fairly large pine with a cairn at its foot. From here we will head NW, where at 10 metres we will find a wire fence; we will cross to the other side and go down the slope about 20 metres in the same direction, where we will find the entrance to the cavity.

Description

Morphology

A narrow entrance gives way to a sandy ramp that opens into a 9-metre-deep fissure, quite narrow and fairly broken up; the ceiling is full of roots.

History

The first reference we know of is the exploration carried out in 1970 by members of the SIE del CE Àliga, who made the survey of this cavity.
