Small pit about 25 m deep on the south slope of Mont Caro (el Port), at the head of the barranc de Cova Pintada.

Characteristics

Location

On the S slope of the Caro summit that forms the head of the barranc de Cova Pintada. All the cavities located in the upper area of this barranc are relatively close to one another, situated within the channel that the barranc forms.

This one is located right below the road that climbs to Mont Caro and a little higher up and towards the west of CP.4.

Morphology

It is a pit that, after many diggings, reached 25 metres of depth.

Progression

After different diggings, they could not get past 25 metres of depth.

History

After the first explorations in the lower area of the barranc de Cova Pintada, begun in 1985 by members of the Espeleo Club Tortosa, prospecting continued through the higher area while searching for possible connections with CP.1.
