Location

From la Pleta you must head for the head of the Fondo de la Pleta and go down until you find the Avenc de la Pleta; a little further down is the Avenc Morgan i Comas and further on the Avenc de la Pela. We will follow the streambed about 25 metres more, at which point you must climb about 10 metres to the left until you find the mouth of the pit, beside two margallons and on a small ledge.

Description

Morphology

A wide mouth of 1.6 x 0.9 metres leads us to a vertical drop of almost 7 metres with a small ledge at -5. At the -7 level we find a rock bridge that divides the shaft into two parallel descents; from here the vertical drop continues to the base at -16.

At the S end we find a small chamber that rises until it connects with the upper part of the main shaft. At the NW end there are two narrow chimneys about 3 metres high that remain closed at the dome.

Speleothems

In one of the chimneys a very characteristic curved stalactite can be seen.

History

Unpublished pit discovered on 19-11-2011 by Alex Serrano (Dalton) of the SES de CE Ribes. The following week, with other colleagues from the group, and after removing a large block that almost covered the mouth, they were able to explore it and produce the corresponding survey.
