Grotte di Cabrera d'Anoia

Cabrera d'Anoia, a municipality in the comarca of Anoia, has 14 inventoried cavities: 9 pits and 5 caves. Together they total 928 metres of length and reach a maximum depth of 24 metres. All the recorded cavities develop in travertines.

The most notable cavity is the Coves del Mamut, with 537 metres of length and 24 metres of depth, which has several entrances and an exterior fissure of 103 metres. Other relevant cavities are M-15/15', a pit with 142 metres of length and 17 metres of depth located 13 metres from the avenc M-14; M-11/11', with 42 metres of length and 13 metres of depth, 12 metres from the M-10 mouth of the Coves del Mamut; the Avenc M-3/4, with 34 metres of length and 5 metres of depth, in the area of the Clots d'en Romagosa; and the Avenc M-14, with 30 metres of length and 5 metres of depth, 20 metres from the avenc M-11/M-11'.

Among the less developed cavities are the Esquerda C del Castell de Cabrera, with 10 metres of drop, an entrance of 5x6 metres, a shaft of -8 metres and a total length of 29.43 metres, and the Avenc M-2, 7 metres deep, 3 metres from the main mouth of the Coves del Mamut (M-1).
