Località

Between kilometre 4 and 5 of the road that climbs from Vilanova de Meià towards Pas Nou, we find a 180º left-hand bend, where on the right there is an enormous metal water tank. In this area the vehicle can be left and we can head towards the crag located to the N of the font Blanca and from there climb up a channel formed between the crag and a detached needle, following the edge until reaching the mouth of the pit, just behind a monolith.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cavity is structured by a network of joints produced by the attraction to the void on the limestone mass, caused by the proximity of the crag, finding the typical phenomena of this type of cavity (wedged blocks, false floors, etc.).

Progressione

The entrance shaft communicates with a gallery that, descending a few steps, becomes blocked. One must return to the foot of a step where, through another joint, we find a new shaft split by a ledge; at its foot and through a new gallery of the same morphology, we reach the end of the cavity after descending a final step.

Storia

The first exploration was carried out by the GES del CMB in 1967. Later, they themselves published it in a bulletin of the CE Puig Castellar, renaming it with the name avenc del Cingle.
