Storia
At the beginning of 1957 four members of the Centre Excursionista de Banyoles, J. Cortada, J. Cruells, I. Palmada (son) and J. Tarafa, accompanied by a person from Mas Sec and equipped with helmets, lamps and a rope ladder, explored at the Roca del Migdia in Mieres a pit which they calculated to be about twenty metres deep. In the magazine Cordada no. 25 (1957) a brief notice of this exploration also appears.
On 30-4-1997 members of the Centre Excursionista d'Olot explored the cavity, thinking it was an unpublished cavity, which they named Avenc de la Vaca.
