Località

On the eastern slope and below the Serrat Voltor (Serra d'Ensija).

Access is from Fígols, leaving the car in the parking area of the dinosaur footprint outcrop (Parc paleontològic de Fumanya). Here we take the path that climbs to a grassy esplanade, the Era del Pei, and from there we go to the Serrat del Bous.

The path levels out to the bed of the torrent de la Font dels Cóms, where we must go up the torrent to the first cliffs of the Serrat Voltor, where we will easily find the cavity, visible from afar.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a small cave structured along a joint. The large entrance, about 5 metres high and 1 metre wide, gives way to a single gallery 5 metres long that goes in a NW direction, with a 12-metre-high chimney at its end.

Storia

A practically unpublished cavity, mentioned on the maps of Ed. Alpina, it was visited and surveyed by members of GE Badalona and EC Gràcia in June 2010, providing the only known data.

Nevertheless, Faura in his Recull Espeleològic (1909) mentions in the area a cavity that he indicates as Iglésia de les Cinglades (sic), and which very possibly is this cavity, since the toponym “Iglésia” seems quite evident.
