Caratteristiche

Località

Above the left slope of the torrent de la Font Seca or de Santa Caterina. It can be located from the recreation area of the ermita de la Salut, from where a path sets out that goes up the torrent and which must be left when a small path on the right goes up toward the cave, visible from afar. It can also be reached by following the path that leaves from the stairs that go up to the cova del Salnitre, passes by the cova Freda and continues along the base of the cliff to the torrent de la Font Seca.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Large entrance about 7 metres high by 8 wide that gives rise to a single gallery about 30 metres long that decreases in proportions as one advances. The floor is full of blocks, some of large proportions.

Idrologia

These are the remains of an ancient spring, the most important of those located in the area of the torrent de la Font Seca.

Interesting prehistoric site.

Storia

Known since time immemorial. The first data and topography are the result of the campaign carried out in the area of Collbató during the years 1946, 1947 and 1950 and directed by Llopis and Thomas, of the Club Muntanyenc Barcelonès.
