Località

Follow the paved track that climbs from Àger towards the coll d'Ares. On reaching the area of the plans de Badia and after passing the pallera del Montsec, continue along the track on the right that heads towards the Pla d'Escumó. When you reach the ruins of the ermita de Sant Miquel de Mallabecs, follow the col as far as the ruins of the Torre de Sant Miquel, where on the east side and below the rocky spur on which it stands, the cavity is found.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cavity is 20 metres long in total. The first 10 metres appear to be a large rock shelter, at the end of which opens a gallery one and a half metres in diameter and 10 metres in length.

Concrezioni

The walls of the gallery are formed of calcite crystals.

Storia

Due to its location near the Torre de Mallabecs it is presumed to have been known since ancient times, although the first written reference to it was made by F. Rubinat in 1986. He himself had already located it in 1977.
