Località

From Sant Alís, follow the track towards the collada de Colobó and the Serrat Alt and head towards the large doline of the Corralot Gran. Once on the north side of the doline, continue north-east for 66 metres until you find the entrance of the cavity, right at the limit of the erosion surfaces and where the steep synclines begin.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A shaft of about 6.5 metres places us in the centre of an old building that is now dismantled. At this point we are in a room measuring 14x10 metres and 2.5 metres high, with the floor full of blocks from clastic processes. Continuing north-west we find a new step of 6 metres that places us in a new room at a depth of -12.5 metres, with the ceiling sloping along the bedding plane. The floor is full of clay and blocks, while the south-east wall is partly artificial, as it is made of stones piled up forming a wall, evidencing its use as a pou de gel; this is very common in these parts in easily accessible cavities.

Storia

The first exploration was carried out in 1958 by members of the SAS del CGB. This and other cavities in the area are also called graller, since the most usual toponyms used by the local people are “lo graller” or “los grallers”.
