Località

From Carrer Montsant in Ulldemolins, we will head to the Santa Magdalena recreational area where we can leave the vehicle. From here we will follow the path that climbs to the Portell del Peret; halfway up we find a small trail on the right that will take us on a route of about 200 metres to the cova del Corb.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A wide rock shelter, where the worked part is 14 metres wide and 7.47 metres deep. Before reaching the worked part, this part of the rock shelter is 13 metres wide and between 1.5 and 4 metres deep, but the ceiling is at a height of 8.32 metres, which makes this part of the rock shelter poorly suited for use as a shelter.

The floor is basically rock and has a slight upward slope.

Storia

Worked rock shelter known since time immemorial; it is already cited in 1896 by Puig i Larraz in Cavernas y Simas de España. It was later cited by Font i Sagué, Faura i Sans, and J. Ferraté, but without providing further data. It also appears marked in the cartographic guides of the Montblanc publishing house from 1968 onwards.
