Località

Going along the C-153 road, one kilometre before reaching the junction with the C-150 at the village of en Bas, there is a road on the right; following it we will soon find a track also on the right that will take us to the Mas de Can Carrera. At this Mas it will be necessary to ask the owners for permission to go to the cave, since it lies within the boundaries of the estate, and at the same time they will indicate the way to the cave. We will find it by following a path that from the Mas goes up through the cultivated fields until reaching a point where it crosses the riera shortly before arriving at a fork in the path; the cave is beneath the path and on the hydrographic left bank of the riera.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The entrance has originated in part due to the excavation of the nearby torrent, consequently the roof has collapsed. From this entry point we can follow north for about twenty metres in an ascending gallery that ends choked by sediments. If we go south, we will follow a small watercourse for about thirty metres, where we will find a 2-metre rise; at this point the gallery widens and gains height, further on we find a narrow passage, after this the gallery recovers its previous dimensions and gradually reduces until it becomes a crawlway, which we will not leave until the exit, which is made by means of a 2-metre ascending shaft. The total route of the cave is 134 metres.

Idrologia

The cave is on the hydrographic left bank of the riera. If we go south, we will follow a small watercourse for about thirty metres.

Progressione

This traverse is done following a bedding plane and takes us from the torrent bed to the next torrent. The traverse was 117 metres long while the total route of the cave was 134.

Storia

The first references are from the GIE del CE Gràcia. According to information provided to the Espeleobloc on 5/7/2010, the final part of the cave has become filled with sediments, consequently the traverse of the cavity is not feasible to do. Those which, due to the aforementioned sedimentation, will also have diminished.
