Caratteristiche

Località

Located at the lime kiln on the track above the Font del Lledoner, you must take the track on the left; further on we will find a track on the right and a little further on another track on the right that climbs up towards the col. Follow it until reaching the same coll Verdaguer, where a path branches off to the left that will lead us to the cave, which opens in the form of a pit.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Two entrances: a narrow one forming a shaft and another wider one that descends on a slope, both converging in a chamber. To the east, a low passage introduces us into a larger chamber.

Concrezioni

The larger chamber has a great profusion of lithogenesis. The calcium carbonate deposits have been excavated, with which a good part of the flowstone and stalagmites of the cave have been damaged.

Progressione

In this chamber we find two short crawls: the eastern one returns to the chamber after a short distance, and the other is located to the south.

Storia

Known since ancient times, the first speleological references we have date from the CMB campaigns in the 30s of the last century. Currently (2009) it is being excavated by archaeologists (the same ones who ravaged the pits of les Alzines), therefore its original physiognomy has changed considerably. It seems that the material found (mammal fossils) is quite interesting.
